Supportware is a small software development company from the Netherlands. We have been developing apps for the iPhone since the Appstore opened its virtual doors in 2008. We were one of the lucky few to be accepted in the appstore from day one. Unaware of the value of this privilege, but with great enthousiasm we started developing.

The first app was made for Buienradar.nl, an extremely popular weather website from the Netherlands. This app is still very popular in the Dutch app store, being the unrivaled number one free weather app (with 300.000+ downloads and counting!). Next up was our first attempt to make a game for the iPhone platform. That was Elevens, a fast paced and addictive card game. Later versions of this game had different themes, like balls and gems.

WikiMe was one of the first apps to integrate the GPS location of the iPhone to provide information about the users surrounding area by listing location-tagged WikiPedia articles. WikiMe was also well received by various websites and magazines, writing great reviews.

Next we scored with the football statistics apps My Football and My Football PRO. My Football was placed in the paid app top 100 in many countries worldwide, and kept it's position for many weeks. It is still very popular in Europe (appearing in sports top 100 lists). We are still looking to improve the apps for a better user experience. All in all, we have grown a lot since developing our first app. This resulted in more complicated projects like coconut riot, which was made completely using the Unity3D game engine. And now with the introduction of the iPad, we can once again broaden our vision of the future of apps! Our goal is making apps we love to use ourselves, and reach out to a wide public doing so.
